One-Time and Ongoing Individual Volunteer Opportunities

Individual volunteers help facilitate after-school programs and activities that enrich the lives of our Club members. Volunteer opportunities can be tailored to your special interests and talents. See below some of our one-time projects and how to create an ongoing relationships.

ways to volunteer

  • After School Tutor

    Work with individuals or small groups to address members’ specific needs in math, science, and reading. Tutoring requires a regular time commitment.

  • Power Hour (Homework Helper)

    Work with Club members ages 8-18 to help them with their homework, build study habits, and provide them with the skills they need to succeed in school. Power Hour implements strategies and activities that encourage Club members to become self-directed learners.

  • Program Support

    Provide valuable assistance to the staff, such as greeting Club members and assisting at the front desk, helping organize and set up activities and much more.

  • Targeted Program Support

    Programs, which vary from Club to Club, are designed to empower our members to succeed in school and lead healthy lives. Focuses include college readiness, leadership development, financial responsibility, building character.


    Diplomas2Degrees: a college readiness program that provides a range of services to guide Club members as they work toward high school graduation and prepare for post-secondary education


    Keystone Club: leadership development opportunities


    Money Matters: promotes financial responsibility where participants learn how to manage a checking account, create a budget, pay for college, and more


    Passport to Manhood: teaches responsibility to boys with sessions that focus on a specific aspect of character and manhood


    SMART Girls: health, fitness, decision-making and self-esteem enhancement for girls ages 8-17

  • Sports Coach

    Coach members ages 8-18 in structured team sports such as flag football, basketball, and soccer while teaching the fundamentals of teamwork and sportsmanship.

  • Create A Role

    If you have a special skill that you’d like to share with our Club members, we’re all ears. Let us know you’d like to help!
