The Marketing Coordinator at The Boys and Girls Club is responsible for developing and executing effective marketing strategies to enhance the organization's brand, promote its programs and services, and increase community engagement. This role requires a strong understanding of marketing principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Reports to: Senior Director of Development
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support and Execute on a Developed Marketing Strategy:
- Support comprehensive marketing plan aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify target audiences and develop effective marketing campaigns.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing efforts.
- Brand Management:
- Maintain and strengthen the Boys and Girls Club brand image across all marketing channels.
- Ensure consistent messaging and visual identity in all marketing materials and communications.
- Develop a social media schedule that communicates with our audience at the most effective times.
- Continue to build and broaden an internal marketing library.
- Utilize BGCA guidance/support as needed.
- Digital Marketing:
- Develop and manage engaging content for various digital platforms to drive brand awareness and engagement.
- Monitor and analyze digital marketing metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Oversee updates and communicate with web developers on keeping information fresh and up to date.
- Traditional Marketing:
- Plan and execute traditional marketing initiatives, such as print advertising, community outreach events, and direct
mail campaigns in collaboration with the Senior Director of Development. - Establish a newsletter which will be distributed to community partners, supporters, and club families.
- Monitor the effectiveness of traditional marketing efforts and adjust strategies as needed.
- Identify, participate, and coordinate, in collaboration with the Director of Community Outreach.
- Increase public awareness on programs and offerings throughout the community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Proven experience in marketing
- Strong knowledge of marketing principles and best practices
- Strong experience in Adobe Suite products preferred
- Experience with membership databases
- Experience with Constant Contact
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in digital marketing platforms and analytics tools
- Creative thinking and ability to develop innovative marketing strategies
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Must be open to new ideas/ways of thinking
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations or youth-focused programs is a plus
