No – all registrations are on a weekly basis. Whether your child attends all days is up to you, but they will be signed up for the whole week. You do not have to register for all six weeks, though.
Members are encouraged to bring a backpack with a water bottle, any snacks they might need (meals are provided), and a bathing suit, towel, and flip flops or sandals for field trip days.
Nope! All orientations are open and optional, though we encourage attending if your child has not been to Summer Blast in past years.
Juniors (ages 8-13) will have a wide variety of age-appropriate activities available, including nature walks on the Doyle Conservation land, sports like archery, soccer, and baseball, cooking, drama, Lego building, art, robotics workshops, Minecraft and coding, Friday field trips, Summer Brain Gain (activities to combat summer academic loss) and more.
For the Sprouts (ages 5-7), a typical day includes arts & crafts and activities around the week’s theme, outdoor games, quiet reading or LEGO play, Friday field trips (separate from the Juniors), and occasionally special activities like baking and outdoor water play.
