FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC)

FIRST ( For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), founded by inventor Dean Kamen in 1989, is a one-of-a-kind program aiming to inspire middle and high school students to become science and technology leaders. It engages them in mentor-based programs that build skills that inspire innovation and foster well-rounded life capabilities. FIRST Robotics Competition gives teams of high school students six weeks to build and program robots up to six feet tall and 12olbs to complete a set of challenges on a contained playing field.

Our FIRST Team, the TerrorBots (team 3623), has been very successful so far, and seeded 7th in the regional competition at Worcester Polytechnic Institute only three years after being seeded 43rd in 2011, our “Rookie Year”.
